He married before 23 May 1340 ELIZABETH DE HOLAND, daughter of Robert de Holand, Knt., 1st Lord Holand, by Maud, daughter and co-heiress of Alan la Zouche, Knt., Lord Zouche [see HOLAND 6 for her ancestry]. They had three sons, Alan, Thomas, and John. SIR HENRY FITZ ROGER died 29 Jan. (or 18 Feb.) 1352. His widow, Elizabeth, died 13 July 1387. They were buried at Chewton Mendip, Somerset.
8. JOHN FITZ ROGER, of Chewton, Somerset, West Kington, Wilts, and Mapperton, Dorset, 3rd son, born 1345-52. He married before 26 April 1369 ALICE ___. They had one daughter,‰ 'Elizabeth'. JOHN FITZ ROGER died 1370-72. His widow, Alice, married (2nd (as his 2nd wife) Edmund de Clyvedon, Knt. (died 16 Jan. 1375/6, of Clyvedon, Somerset, (3rd) (as his 2nd wife) before 18 Nov. 1383 Ralph Carminow, Knt. (died 9 Oct. 1386 or after Jan. 1387); (4th) (as his 2nd wife) before 27 Jan. 1389 John Rodney (or Rodeney), Knt. (died 19 Dec. 1400), of Backwell and Rodney Stoke, Somerset, Knight of the Shire for Somerset, Sheriff of Somerset and Dorset; and (5th) as his 2nd wife) before 6 June 1402 William Bonville (or Bonevyle), Knt., of Shute and Northleigh, Devon (died 11 Feb. 1408). Alice died 27 March 1426, and was buried in the nave of the church of Newnham Monastery beside her 5th husband.'

She married (1st) before 18 Oct. 1377 JOHN BONVILLE, Knt., in right of his wife, of Chewton, Somerset, West Kington, Wiltshire, Mapperton, Dorset, and Merston, Sussex, son and heir apparent of William Bonville, Knt., of Shute, Devon, by his 1st wife, Margaret, daughter and co-heiress of William Daumarle, Knt. He was born about 1371 (aged 11 in 1382). They had two sons, William, Knt., K.G. [Lord Bonville] and Thomas, and two daughter, Isabel (wife of Richard Champernoun) and Philippe (wife of William Grenville and John Almescombe). She was heiress in 1382 to her uncle, Thomas Fitz Roger, by which she inherited the manors of Selling, Kent, Glen Magna, Leicestershire, Merston, Sussex, etc. SIR JOHN BONVILLE died 21 Oct. 1396. His widow, Elizabeth married (2nd) before 2 Dec. 1398 RICHARD STUKELEY (or STUCLE, STYUECLE), Gent., of Ridgewell, Essex, and, in right of his wife, of Merston, Sussex and Glen Magna, Leicestershire, King's Esquire, Escheator of Somerset and Devon, presumably son of Geoffrey de Styuecle (or Steuecle), King's Esquire, of Buckinghamshire and London, King's Esquire, chief serjeant of county Cork, Ireland, by his wife Christine. They had two sons, Roger and Hugh. His wife, Elizabeth died 15 April 1414. RICHARD STUKELEY, Gent., died shortly before 28 Nov. 1441.

Elizabeth was sole heir to Chewton, etc;, in 1382 in Somersetshire.
She married our ancestor Richard Stukeley of Trent, son of Geoffrey Stukeley King's Esquire, after 1396 in Chewton, Somerset.
Elizabeth held the manor of Merston in Sussex; she held 1/4 of Sturminster Marshall in Dorsetshire; she held the manor of Chewton in Somersetshire; she held the manor of Glen Magna in Leicestershire.
She and husband Richard made settlement of the manor of Great Glen in 1410 in Leicestershire; they made settlement of the manor of Merston in 1410 in Sussex.
She died at the age of 43 years and 8 months.

no. 172]. It is held of John Lovell, knight, of the honor of Winchester, service unknown, annual
value £20.
She died on 10 April last. Roger their son and heir is aged 16 years and more.
