1/1/1850 - Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel Commander, of 18th Battalion.
12/12/1850 - Awarded Norwegian (Danish) St. Olaf Order, highest award of Norway. The Norwegians wanted to share in the honour and glory won by Jobst in his military deeds during the battles raging in Schlenweig - Holstein, Danish Territories. Jobst was born in Norway which was then part of Denmark.
13/2/1851 - Promoted to Major General Commander, 12th Battalion.
25/7/1851 - Awarded Dannesborgmand, a lever order of the flag, which bestows the highest "social" accolades for military feats. Allowing Jobst to socialise with all Royalty at their functions and activities. Also the wearing of special court uniforms of crossed bands and full embellishments of his medals.
6/10/1860 - Promoted to Kammerhere Major General Chamberlain, which entitled Jobst to a larger crown pension salary for his service to Denmark. As well as Confidential Military and Political Advisor to the King.
3/4/1866 - Death of Jobst.
6/4/1866 - Funeral attended by Royalty. He was buried with full military honours at Helsingor (Elsinore) in a special section for Danish Generals and Heros. 75 ft from Skt. Vincent Kirke (St Vincent Catholic Church). Sir John Knox (brother in law) was named as executor. The grave site was maintained by the Knox family until the 1940's.
Jobst was the most highly decorated man in Denmark.
