Captain Thomas Andrews was the son of Joseph Andrews and Elizabeth (unknown - no evidence her maiden name was Hatch).n my heritage and ancestry. to Thomas for a "valuable consideration in hand payd and security to be given,: possibly also in return for his having managed the property and a promise to care for them. His father lived to about 1680 and his mother to 1688. it is believed they all lived in the Garrison House.he "Old Ordinary." There is a report that he build the home in 1685 that many years later became the rectory for St. Paul's, but that lot was purchased by his son Lieutenant Thomas about 1705, and there had been a house on it since about 1640. s return, apparently unable due to weakness or quarantine to return to Hingham. Ha wrote a will in Boston which was filed for probate there. He was buried in the Granary Burying Ground. Andrews, in his will of 1690, provided for four sons and three daughters. If John were born before Thomas, one would expect him to be executor. The Joseph Andrews who married Sarah Ring in Ipswich was himself an Ipswich man, so a different person. Note that the death record for 23 Nov 1724 is NOT his, but rather for Joseph, the son of Lieutenant Thomas Andrews and Abigail Lincoln, who was born in 1703. I believe Joseph probably died before his father, leaving Thomas as the oldest son.proposed sons who show up on most trees, only one can have been both a son AND living in 1690. they seem to be connected to the wrong family.
