John Grant, one third of the homestead, 'the north end next to Aaron Boylan.'... in 1767 David sold the land (Rec. of the Sec. of State, Trenton, Book E 3, p. 304)...therethe record of David seems to stop....there is no will on file....nor notice of owning other land in the area....In 1785 a David Grant witnessed the will of Thomas Coon, of Bernards Town (N.J. Archives Ser. i, vol. 35, p. 93)...An Abraham Grant named in Bernards Town in 1790 may have been David's son....likewise an Isaac Grant who wittnessed the will of Joseph Martin, Jr., of Bernards Town (N.J.
