It is a historic county of Surrey) a George Durant married a women Elizabeth who was the widow of a "Captain Blake". A search of his parents on ancestry.com have show Thomas Blackshaw as his father, Over fifty sources indicate he was his father. However these same sources show Captain John Blake as born in 1594 and Thomas Blackshaw born 1581. This would make Thomas 13 years old when his son John was born. This makes the dates suspect and the Blackshaw family connection suspectave chosen the research of John Blake MD who connects Captain Blake to the William Giles Blake family.een @ genealogy in many ways.
