      Het Utrechts Nieuwsblad van 17-06-1949 vermeldt, dat Wijk C op de Planken tijdens een bezoek van Koningin Juliana en prins Bernhard een deel van de Getemde Feeks opvoerde. Tijdens WO II heeft Albert een tijd ondergedoken gezeten bij zijn a.s. schoonouders, samen met zijn a.s. zwager Matthieu van Berkel. De beide mannen verborgen zich in de kolenbunker van één van de kassen van de tuinderij van hun a.s. schoonvader Henk Bosman. Toen de Duitsers een keer een inval deden op zoek naar mannen voor de Arbeitseinsatz, luisterden Albert en Matthieu op dat moment juist naar Radio Holland uit Londen. Hun a.s. Schoonvader reageerde prompt met de opmerking "Ha, musik". Hij nam de Duitsers mee naar binnen en liet ze dansen met zijn dochters die toen thuis waren. Na verloop van tijd vertrokken de
Duitsers zeer tevreden.
