Zij waren lidmaten te Gieten op 21 december 1678. Met Pasen 1683 lidmaten te Gasselte met attest van Anloo.

In de haardstedengeldregisters van Gasselte van de jaren 1691, 1692 en 1695 wordt Roeloff Nijemeijer voor volpaardsboer, dus voor vier gulden, aangeslagen.

In de Drentsche Volksalmanak 1844 wordt (blz. 57-60) onder de kop "Bijdrage tot de geschiedenis der bruiloften in Drenthe" vertelt over het gebruik om geschenken in natura aan te bieden op een bruiloft waar men voor uitgenodigd was. Daarvan werd kennelijk aantekening gehouden. Van de bruiloft van Roelof Hiddinge op 14 oktober 1702 werd een "opstelling" gemaakt van wat ieder heeft ingebracht. De uit Gasselte genodigde Roelof Nymeijer bracht mee: schulder, botter en hoenders. Een schulder is een voor- of schouderschink.
