LDS vermeld huwelijk van Dirk Dirkse Verloop en Anna Teunisse ca. 1696. Zij worden beiden ingeschreven als lidmaat te Piershil in 1700. (Het doopboek van Piershil begint pas in 1707).

Notes about Dirck Dircksz VERLOOP


Doopgetuigen in Herwijnen waren ìde vaderî, alsmede Henrick Jeuriaense Verloop (oom; broer van de vader) en Maijke Dirx (tante; zuster van de moeder). Na zijn doop verdwijnt zijn naam uit de Betuwe.
Later duikt hij op als lidmaat te Piershil in 1700 (archief N.H. kerk), was meester metselaar te Piershil (ontvangsten wegens leverantie en arbeid vanaf 1700) en schepen van Piershill (1713-1719).

De fisches collectie in het Streekmuseum van Heinenoord vermeld: Volledige tekst op het kaartje : Verlo, Dirk Dirks ñ lidmaat ca. 1700 ñ Arch. N.H. Kerk Piershil ñ 1700. Er staat dus VerloÖ en niet Verloop. Er is ook nog een ander fiche in hetzelfde handschrift, waarop staat geschreven: Verloop, Dirk ñ echtg. Anna Teunis ñ lidmaten in het dorp 1700 ñ Arch. N.H. Kerk Piershil 1700. De datering is dus zo goed als identiek en komend uit dezelfde bron. In ieder geval is geconcludeerd dat hier met aan zekerheid grenzende twijfel sprake moet zijn van een verschrijving, op welke wijze dan ook (Verlo i.p.v. Verloop).

Bovenstaande gegevens uit het Streekmuseum van Heinenoord gevonden door Erika Verloop. Bijgaande foto van het Verloop familiewapen (gedateerd 1702) in Puttershoek is waarschijnlijk geassocieerd met deze Dirck Dircksz Verloop.

Hij is de stamvader van de drie Verloop-takken in de Hoeksche Waard (genaamd ìPuttershoekî, ìNieuw-Beijerlandî en ìGoudswaardî).
