Hij was collega van mijn vader (Hans Verloop) op het gemeentehuis in Katwijk. Hij was volle neef van Wiena van Brakel in Piershil, echtgenote van Pieter Verloop (1924-2013), verdienstelijk schilder van dorpstrafelen en stamboom onderzoeker van de Hoeksche Waardse Verloop-en.
