Profession: De landbouwer Gillis Langhbeen kreeg namelijk in 1728 kwijtschelding van een deel van zijn verschuldigde huursom als compensatie voor de handenarbeid die hij dat jaar voor de hertog verrichtte. Hij voerde het graafwerk uit voor de funderingen van de nieuwe brouwerij en de mouterij en bood gedurende 30 dagen zijn diensten aan als metselaarsknecht (familie d'Ursel).
