Notes about Josephus Gousseau "(Goffaux)

Volgens geboorteakte van zijn zoon "Gilles" is Josephus geboren in Nijvel. De schrijfwijzes daar zijn Goffaut / Goffaux. In Bornem werd het nageslacht geschrevenals Goufseau, Gosseau, Gossiau.


Josephus is volgend de aktes van het eerstehuwelijk van zijn zoon overleden voor Juli 1801. Anna Maria Van Lent zou dan nog in leven zijn. Bij het tweede huwelijk in 1836. wist hun zoon niets van overlijden/verblijfsplaats van zijn ouders. In 1858 zou Gilles een Saint Hélèna medaille hebben ontvangen voor zijn dienst bij Napoleon (Bron: http://www.stehelene.org/php/accueil.php?lang=fr) . Bij het overlijden van Gilles is er opnieuw niets bekend over zijn ouders.
