In 1528 hield margrite spruyt fa simon weduwe gillis stridonc 3 1/2 bunder en 2 gemeten uitde heerlijkheid ter varent, 10 gemeten uit het boodschapleen van katelijne buekels, 3 1/2 bunder uit hoorsele en vier volglenen uit wissekerke, samen 11 1/2 gemeten (zie de schoutheete de tervarent le livre des feudataires des comtes de flandre au pays de waes, de voorouders van margriet spruyt in vlaamse stam 1978 blz 413). De echtelieden bewoonden de hofstede die achteraan de hemelrijkstraat opde themeric ligt. De hofstede kreeg later de naam het hemelrijk.
