Op 29 januari 1807 om 4u s’nachts werd Louis Buytaert geboren als zoon van de kleermaker Pieter Buytaert en Marie Bernadine Van Bortel. Lodewijk gaat aan de slag als huidevettersgast.  Het koppel gaat wonen in het dorpscentrum te Temse. Daar krijgen ze hun eerste dochter Marie-Louise. In 1834 wonen ze in de Oeverstraat. In 1842 werkt Lodewijk als tapper, het gezin woont dan nog steeds in de Oeverstraat.. Eén jaar later gaat Lodewijk aan de slacht als molenaarsknecht. Later startte hij opnieuw als tapper.


 


Zoon Jan-Baptist overleed in de Stationstraat in Sint-Niklaas
