Antonius “Antoon” Van Landegem werd geboren als zoon van Joes en Joanna Broeckaerts in Beveren hij had minstens één zus, Tanneke en een broer Petrus. Antoon huwde met Anna Van Landeghem rond 1680. De huwelijksplek is niet gekend. Anna was de dochter van Antony en Antoinette Oelbrant, eveneens uit Beveren. Het koppel had dus dezelfde achternaam, het is niet met zekerheid te zeggen dat ze verwant waren.


 


Antoon en Anna kregen maar liefst 14 kinderen, allen geboren in Beveren. Anna beviel tweemaal keer van een tweeling, een eerste keer in 1689 bij de geboorte van Anna-Catharina en Petrus-Francis, en een tweede keer zeven jaar later, in 1696 bij de geboorte van David en Theodoor. In 1718, nadat alle 14 kinderen het levenslicht zagen, werd Antoon schepen van zijn geboortedorp Beveren, maar ook in 1720 en 1721 was hij schepen. In datzelfde jaar, op 19 juli 1718, treed de dochter Maria (°1692) in als lekenzuster in de Abdij van Roosenberg te Waasmunster. Zij kreeg daar de naam Zuster Monica. Antoon zelf overleed op 31 dec 1725. Eén dag later, op 1 januati 1726 werd hij begraven in Beveren
