In 1779 werd Philippus Jacobus peter van Isabella Van De Woestijne, de dochter van zijn schoonbroer Joannes.In 1779 schreef hij zijn volledige naamn In 1786 schreef hij PJ Van Ranst.


Zijn tweede huwelijk werd voltrokken in Hingene. Hij trouwde daar met Joanna Catharina Van Vracem. Het koppel trok echter terug naar Bornem waar ze twee kinderen kregen, Joannes Franciscus (1787) en Francisca (1789). 10 dagen na de geboorte van Francisca overleed Joanna Catharina Van Vracem. De overlijdensdatum van Philippus Jacobus is niet gekend, maar op de huwelijksakte van zijn zoon Peeter in 1801 werd vermeld dat hij al overleden was.


 


Zijn zoon Peeter werd landbouwer,


Dochter Marie huwde één jaar later in Hingene met een landbouwer uit Nattenhaasdonk genaamd Joannes Franciscus Seps. Daarbij werd vermeld dat vader "Jacques Van Ranst" overleden was.

They got married on February 3, 1774 at Bornem, België, he was 29 years old.
