De in Bornem geborenJan Peeters was een zoon van Cornelis en Maria Ver Nimmen. Hij huwde in Bornem op 1 februari 1693 met Maria Theresia Huybens. Zij was afkomstig uit Temse. Hun oudste zoon kreeg eveneens de naam Jan. Hij huwde op 18 juli 1723 in Kieldrecht met Amelberga D”Hooghe uit Sint-Gillis-Waas. Het koppel kreeg in Kieldrecht 10 kinderen en overleed in de gemeente. De dochter Maria Peeters, trok naar Moerzeke en twee andere zonen, Laurentinus en Adrianus gingen naar Temse. De jongstezoon van het gezin, Jacobus ging naar Hontenisse, NL.  In 1735 duikt Amelberga D’Hooghe op bij de doop van een kind van Jacobus Peeters
