27 mei overleed, op 65-jarige leeftijd, Klaas A. Posthuma. Posthuma was in de jaren 60 op buitengewoon geprofileerde wijze hoofdredacteur van het klassieke-muziektijdschrift Luister. Vanuit die jaren dateert ook zijn bemoeienis met onder meer de Edison Klassiek en de Radio Volksuniversiteit. In 1970 werd Posthuma classical manager bij EMI/Bovema. Vervolgens werd hij onafhankelijk producent, met CBS als belangrijke afnemer, om eind jaren 70 zijn eigen label Globe op te zetten. Klaas was een totaalkunstenaar. A&R, studioregistratie, editing, lay-out van plaat- en cd-hoezen, het schrijven van liner notes, plus internationale marketing: de - grotendeels - autodidact Posthuma rekende het allemaal tot zijn terrein. Praktisch elke Nederlandse musicus van naam heeft met Posthuma te maken gehad, waaronder de pianisten Youri Egorov en Charles Rosen, het Nederlands Kamerkoor, Camerata Trajectina, de zangeres Elly Ameling, Nieuw Sinfonietta en violist Jaap van Zweden.
