    Connie Clare (Gerfers) Emmick was called home by our Lord following a lengthy illness. Connie was born in San Antonio to Clarence and Edna Mae (DeKunder) Gerfers, and leaves behind sisters Peggy Blucher, Dorothy Scyrkels and husband Bill, and brother Clarence (Butch) Gerfers. She also leaves many cousins, aunts and uncles and especially nieces and nephews whom she loved as if they were her own.

    Connie was the wife of Robert A. Emmick for 57 years who will miss her greatly. She leaves behind two sons, Robert Jr. and wife Lisa and Steven and wife Lucy. She also leaves four most precious grandchildren: Elizabeth (18), Chelsea (15), Makayla (9) and Matthew (7).

    To know Connie was to love her. Her sweet personality never found fault in anyone. Because of this she will be missed greatly by friends and associates met during her 20 year career at Arthur Andersen & Co. as well as at the First Baptist Church in Dallas. We will all miss her sweetness for a long time, but we are certain she is now free of her illness and in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

    Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, January 27, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Restland Abbey Chapel.
