Notes about Pieter de Kunder

14-10-1927: 's-Heerenhoek. Heden werd door Notaris Pilaar publiek verkocht een hoefje bestaande uit woonhuis, schuren, varkenshok, erf en tuin, boomgaard en bouwland in de gemeenten 's-Heerenhoek en Borssele, samen groot 216.70 Ha aan Pieter de Kunder te Ovezand voor f. 8200. 08-05-1924: Wemeldinge. Dinsdagmorgen toen de koopman de Kunder uit Vlake met kar en paard zich in de gemeente bevond, schrok het paard van een in werking zijnde kraan en sloeg op hol; rende vervolgens langs den kanaaldijk in de richting Wilhelminastraat en Nieuwendijk en kwam op dien weg in botsing met een stilstaande autobus van Joh. Leenderse, met het gevolg dat het paard kwam te vallen en de kar omsloeg. Van de auto werd het spatbord en lantaarn beschadigd. Nadat door de K. het een en ander was hersteld begaf hij zich andermaal op weg om zijn waren, bestaande uit groenten aan den man te brengen. Gekomen ter hoogte van de Biesweg en achterweg sloeg het paard wederom op hol en botste ditmaal tegen een lantaarnpaal waarvan de kap werd vernield en de paal ontzet. De beide boomen van de kar braken gelijk met den bak af en het paard rende de Wilhelminastraat in, liep tegen een muur aan en werd gegrepen. Alles liep behalve de materieele schade goed af. De bestuurder die uit de kar werd getrokken en nog een een eind werd meegesleurd, klaagde over pijn in zijn ledematen. (Goessche Courant 08-05-1924 pag. 2)
