    Verhuist in 1576 met zijn gezin van Monster (nabij de Korenmolen) naar Loosduinen, Ambacht Monster, "Aen de Geest" (in 1585 stonden er 15 huizen in Loosduinen). Was 1580 leenman van de Wateringe. Koopt woning en land 10.5.1579. In 1577 blijkt hij in een verklaring 40 jaar oud te zijn, in 1586 50 jaar. Hij werd 1581 benoemd tot kerkmeester van de Hervormde Kerk in Loosduinen. Hij blijkt dan dus overgegaan te zijn naar het "nieuwe" geloof.
