Anna Dorsefan is gedoopt op 24 januari 1706 te Hasselt als dochter van Anna de Swabe. Zij was een onecht kind: "Anna on-egt (dochter van) ...... en Anna de Swabe". Haar vader was waarschijnlijk Pierre-Ernest D'Orsinfaing, een krijgsgevangene te Hasselt van Belgische afkomst (geboren in Villers-sur-Semois 1672), luitenant in het regiment Montfort in Spaanse dienst, later (1706) kapitein in dat regiment in Franse dienst. Hij was gevangengenomen in de Slag bij Hochstädt in 1704 tijdens de Spaanse Successieoorlog (1701-1713).
