      Pander: assistent van de schulte (scholtus), die behulpzaam was bij de zogenaamde panding.
      Wie een geldvordering boven tien gulden op een ander had, kon de schulte of de pander laten weten dat hij een bedrag wilde vorderen (aanpanding doen). De crediteur kon na bewijs van zijn vordering en bij blijvende niet-betaling van de schuld de pander uitpanding laten doen. De rechter kwam er eerst aan te pas indien de vordering door de schuldenaar werd bestreden (pandkering). De procedure is beschreven in het Drentse landrecht.
