    Op 23 september 1789 wordt Fijgje Maalman (1734-1789) begraven, weduwe van Coert Jans Bosch (ovl. 1779). Zij is 'den 16e in haar eigen Huis moordaadig geworgt en vermoort door eenen Hendrik Hanis een Noord Hollander van geboorte, hebbende hier reeds 6 jaaren gewoont en heeft, na den anderen ’s avonds gevat te zijn door de Burgers op de Kraaneweert, het Feit beleden, is naar Hasselt vervoert verder overtuigt en dus na Rechte bij Hasselt den 9 November levendig gehangen en zijn vrouw die hem behulpzaam in de huisbraak geweest was gegeeselt en gebrandmerkt en is gebleken dat zijn regte naam was Piet Schoorel'.
