    Zwartsluis, 16 Aug. Heden namiddag werd het 13-jarig zoontje van den spekslager E. Z. alhier levenloos uit het water opgehaald. Ongeveer een kwartier te voren was hij geheel alleen met een roeibootje in de binnenhaven der Staphorstersluis en dus midden in de bebouwde kom der gemeente gaan varen en schijnt daarbij, ongemerkt te water zijn geraakt, althans door het rond drijven der ledige boot kwam men eerst op de gedachte dat er een ongeluk was gebeurd. Aangewende pogingen om de levensgeesten weer op te wekken waren te vergeefsch.
