    Zwartsluis, 21 Januari. Heden middag had het ijs bijna weer twee slachtoffers geëischt. Twee knapen van twaalf jaar, zoontjes van A. Schaapman en R. Wagter alhier, die zich op de trekgaten met een slede vermaakten, hadden het ongeluk in een wak te geraken. Gelukkig werden zij van de Arembergergracht opgemerkt door de hh. H. Steenbergen en H. Thorbecke alhier, aan wie het na veel moeite gelukte, met de inmiddels van verschillende zijden toegeschoten hulp, mocht gelukken de knapen op het droge te brengen.
