Volgens Dr. J. J. Krabbe (Heelsum 1975, Inventaris van oude acten van de familie Krabbe te Baarlo, Zwartsluis) is Klaas Wichers de zoon van Wicher Kuttink en Grietjen Klaas.
Doopdatum van Klaas Wichers is 05-05-1660. Dit zou betekenen dat hij al op zeer jonge leeftijd (ca. 17 jr.) is getrouwd met Sjouke Jans.
Geen van zijn dochters is vernoemd naar Grietjen Klaas.
M.a.w. er is reden voor gerede twijfel.
