Notes about Arnout van Rijswijk van Teijlingen

{geni:about_me} Broer, althans jongere bloedverwant van Gerrit. Werd opvolger van Gerrit als Baljuw van Kennemerland. Hij was ook Kasteleijn of burggraaf van Torenburg en kreeg 12 september 1254 bevel van de graaf van Holland om de abt van Egmond in diens rechtspraak te handhaven. Op 15 Oct. 1256 komt hij als Kastelein van Torenburg voor: op die datum is hij met Hendrik, heer van Voorne, en tal van andere edelen te Brussel waar zij beloven de vrede tussen Margaretha van Vlaanderen en Floris, voogd van Holland, te bewaren. Spoedig daarop wordt hij vervangen door Simon vn Haerlem, waarschijnlijk door de dood van WIllem II. De eerste vermelding als ridder komt voor in 1257. Hij leefde nog in 1274 en bezegelde in dat jaar de oorkonde met Graaf Floris waarin een schenking aan de abdij van Leeuwenhorst werd bekrachtigd.
