No. You can search and view records without an account. An account is free and does give you extra options.

What can I do with a free account?

  • Save records as a favourite, with tags and notes.
  • Look back at which records you have viewed before.
  • Post a comment on a record, for example an addition or a correction.
  • Let Open Archives automatically search for related records and extra information on a record.
  • Add your own prayer cards.

One account for all services

Your account also works on Genealogy Online, Familie Archivaris, the Stamboom Forum and the Stamboom Gids. So you log in everywhere with the same details.

You create an account via Register. All you need is an e-mail address.
