Nijmegen [ge] op 13 mei 2010 (do) Vermoord, 65 jaar, 22 juni 2010 ** NIJMEGEN - Het voorarrest van een 46-jarige Nijmeegse vrouw die wordt verdacht van betrokkenheid bij de dood van de 65-jarige Eduard Boshuizen, is verlengd. Aanvankelijk was bepaald dat de vrouw 30 dagen in voorarrest zou blijven, dat is nu verruimd naar de maximale termijn van 90 dagen, zo bevestigt een woordvoerster van het openbaar ministerie. De vermoedelijke partner van de vrouw, een 44-jarige Nijmegenaar, wist begin juni al dat hij 90 dagen in voorarrest zou blijven. De man en de vrouw worden verdacht van 'moord c.q. doodslag'.In de tweede helft van augustus is er een eerste (pro forma) rechtszitting in Arnhem. Eduard Boshuizen, een alleenstaande, zeer slechthorende man, werd op 13 mei, Hemelvaartsdag, dood aangetroffen in zijn woning aan de Vossenlaan in de wijk Hazenkamp. De beide verdachten konden een paar dagen na het misdrijf al worden opgepakt. Over de toedracht en het motief heeft de politie niks naar buiten gebracht. Buurtbewoners vermoeden dat het feit dat het slachtoffer zowel op straat als op internet loslippig was over geld dat hij tot zijn beschikking had, hem fataal is geworden. Waarschijnlijk hebben de verdachten ook diens nieuwe auto gestolen en probeerden ze die door te verkopen (De Gelderlander).
