Heinrich Daniel Schubert ließ am 20.4.1824 das Schloss versteigern Neuer Besitzer wurde für 10.800 Gulden der Forstkassierer Philipp Hegar aus Darmstadt. 30 Dessen in Hanau wohnende Erbin Reinhardine Zincke, Witwedes kurhessischen Generals Carl Esen Zincke, verkaufte das Schloss am4.7.1838 für 6.200 Gulden an Johann Rudolph Westkirch, Kaufmann in Amsterdam.
Zehn Jahre später, am 24.2.1848 wechselte für 9.000 Gulden erneut der Besitzer:
Herr Westkirch veräußerte es an Gottlieb Christian Carl Christoph FIKENSCHER, ebenfalls Kaufmann in Amsterdam.Doch schon 1851 wurde es in namhaften deutschen Zeitungen wiederum zum Kauf angeboten. Es liege in der Nähe der projektierten Eisenbahn von Mainz nach Ludwigshafen und nur einige hundert Schritte von dem neu zu erbauenden Bahnhofe entfernt; seiner bedeutenden Räumlichkeiten wegeneignet es sich zur Anlegung einer Fabrik. ...Früher wurde mit Erfolg eine Wirtschaft darin betrieben, die jetzt noch mit Vorteil fortgesetzt werden könnte, ...auch wären die Localitäten der gesunden Luft wegen zu einer Erziehungsanstalt geeignet. Wer die genannte Wirtschaft betrieben hat,ist leider nicht festzustellen. Es muss wohl in der Zeit nach 1824gewesen sein.
