[Oosterzee, Hendrik Marinus Christiaan van]

OOSTERZEE (Hendrik Marinus Christiaan van), geb. te Brakel 29 Aug. 1806, gest. 8 Nov. 1877 als emeritus-predikant van Oirschot, te Haarlem, zoon van ds. Wouter Leonardus van Oosterzee en Jacoba Laurentia Beudt. Hij studeerde te Utrecht en werd 10 Jan. 1830 predikant te Elkerzee, veertien jaren later te Oirschot, waar hij bleef tot 28 Juni 1872. Hij was lid van het Zeeuwsch Genootschap, het Noord-Brabantsch Genootschap, de Maatschappij van Ned. Letterk. en de Cericle artistique te Antwerpen. Een groot aantal geschriften, vertalingen en recensies deed hij het licht zien.

Hij was gehuwd met Clasina Geertruida Uyttenhooven.
