"AMOS CORBIN (Amasa, Asahel, Benjamin, Jabez, Clement), b. July 5, 1795; m. Civil Perkins, dau. of Leonard and Grace (Brewster) Perkins, Oct 3, 1820, in Henrietta , N.Y.; she was b. Oct 27, 1799, and d. Jan 14, 1835. He m. 2d Hannah Coe, Sep 9, 1835, in Madison, Hamilton County, N.Y. He was a shoemaker and farmer. He lived at E. Henrietta, N. Y. until 1836, then at Parma, N. Clarkson, etc., until 1843, when he removed with his family except his oldest son, to Steuben Co., Ind., and settled near Angola, where he d. Aug 13 (or 15), 1846. He was a devoted Baptist, as is indicated by the names of his children, Adoniram Judson and Samuel Newell being well-known early missionaries, and Calista Holman, being a Baptist missionary from Union, Conn., in Burmah.
