Abigail Cudworth is the daughter of James J. Cudworth and Hannah Brown whose marriage intentions were published 2 Mar 1781 in Oxford, Worcester, Massachusetts.
Abigail was probably born in Oppenheim, NY which is also where she married William Wight. They moved to Centerville, NY after their marriage. (The problem with specifying her birth location is that her father does not appear on the census in Palatine- later Oppenheim- until 1800.) The fact that Centerville was settled in 1808 and formed from Pike in 1819 is also valuable.
There is no headstone in Bates Cemetery next to her husband and no burial records to prove she is there, but there are several people whose death certificates prove they were buried in Bates Cemetery yet no headstones remain. There is room for Abigail next to William Wight (a field stone on the left and no stone on the right).

Abigail's uncle, Andrew Brown of Woodstock, CT, set out for a trip to New York State 27 Aug 1799, but his family diary does not mention particulars about his journey nor about his sister Hannah's family. Andrew was likely curious about his sister's new homestead in Oppenheim or wanted to visit her if she were ill.
