Sirdoreus, five miles east of the city, after being in poor helath for some time.Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hoskins Funeral Home. Burial in Evergreen cemetery.Mrs. Gobin (sic) was born in Illinois June 24, 1868. Her husband B. F. Gobin (sic), preceded her in death seven years ago and since that time Mrs. Gobin (sic) has made her home with her daughter.She leaves the following children. Mrs. Edith L. Hicks of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. E. E. Sirdoreus of Fairfield and Dean H. Gobin (sic) of East Moline, Ill. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Myrtle Gemming (sic. spelling ??) and Mrs. Stella CORBIN of Lookeba, Okla.; Ray CORBIN of Wichita, Kans.; Rubin CORBIN (sic, Reuben CORBIN) of Kansas City and Robert CORBIN of Ione, Colo.--------------Fairfield LedgerSeptember 26, 1935Pg. 5 Col. 2OBITUARYMrs. Jessie GobenJessie Goben, eldest daughter of Eli CORBIN and Mary Harris CORBIN was born on June 24th, 1868 at Pleasant Valley, a suburb of Moline, Ill., and passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. E. E. Sirdoreus four and one-half miles southeast of Farifield on Sept. 19th, 1935 at 3 a.m.On Sept. 11th, 1890 she was united in marriage to Benjamin F. Goben who preceded her in death on June 14, 1929. To this union were born five children. Mrs. Mary Kuehn passed away in 1922 and Jessie died in infancy (sic. don't know where this infant was buried). Those who survive are Mrs. Edith L. Hicks of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dean H. Goben of East Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Flora Belle Sirdoreus, Fairfield, Iowa. Mrs. Goben also leaves two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Myrtle Genung (sic. spelling ??) and Miss Stella CORBIN of Lookeba, Okla., Ray E. CORBIN of Wichita, Kansas, Reuben E. CORBIN of Kansas City, Missouri and Robert T. CORBIN of Iona, California. She also leaves 7 grandchildren. Mrs. Goben had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Sirdoreus for the past seven years. She had been in poor health for some time and had failed rapidly this past summer but the end came suddenly as she had been in Fairfield last Monday afternoon.Mrs. Goben was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.Funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial in Evergreen cemetery on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

Jessie Goben, 67, Passes Today in Fairfield, Iowa
Word was received in Milan today of the death of Mrs. Jessie Goben, 67, widow of the late Ben Goben. Mrs. Goben passed away at 3 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Flora Sirdorous, after an illness of heart trouble.
She was a former Milan resident, she and her husband living here the early part of their married life, some fo their children being born here. Mrs. Goben was a sister-in-law of Mrs. R.D. Smith of Milan.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Fairfield, with burial in the cemetery there.
Mr. Goben preceded his wife in death six years ago. Surviving are one son Dean H. Goben of East Moline, two daughters, Mrs. Sirdorous of Fairfield and Mrs. Edith Hicks of Cincinnati, Ohio. There are seven grandchildren surviving.
