Why is this portal in English? It was primarily made for our (grand)children, who are American and don't understand Dutch.

Our family has direct lines to Charlemagne (Karel de Grote) William the Conquerer (Willem de Veroveraar), the princes and kings of the Netherlands, England and Scotland. Look here. There are many stories about Gelre and Cleves and the noble Ossenbrug families living there.
