In the name of God Amen, Edward Bodle of Hailsham in the county of Sussex, Yeoman, maketh this last will and testament as followeth. Impris I bequeath my soule to God, and my body to be decently buried by my executrix herein after named. Item I give and bequeath to every of my children ( except my son John ), one hundred pounds a piece to be paid to them at their age of one and tweny years or days of marriage and if any of them shall die before ---- they ----- shall attain their said age or marriage, then I will that the share of him or her or them so dying shall be equally divided between the survivors to be paid at their said age or days of marriage. Money put together with my --------- estate will pay and satify my debt and legacies, of any surplus shall remain in their hands then my will is that the same remain in their hands.
