It was here that as a young women she was married to Hyrum Smith. Eight children were born. One boy died in infancy. She lived in Oakley 62 years of her life. While she lived at Boring Oregon most of the time in her last seven years of life she continued making extended visits to Oakley, Idaho. She retained her membership in the Oakley Second Ward after leaving Oakley. Her chief interests were her home and church work. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints.
