It was mentioned in the marriage document that Hendrina was a young Daughter and Godefridus a young Son, which means that both were never married before. Witness to the marriage were Hermanus te Boekhorst, occupation smith, 63 year; Johannes Gerressen, occupation village-constable, 46 year. both resided in Oosterbeek; Peter van Soomeren, occupation publican, 24 year and Jan Hendrik Schuurman, occupation none, 22 year. Both resided in Arnhem. The public notice of intention to marriage took place in Renkum and in Arnhem on the 12th and 19th of April 1835. The document was signed by all present except for the mother of the bridegroom who declared that she could not write.
On the permission of marriage certificate from the National Militia in Renkum, was written that Godefridus was from the 1819 draft and registered under #. 892. By the draw he had # 28 and he was not called for duties.
As description stood: Height: 1 yard 520 stripes; Countenance: round; Forehead: covered; Eyes: blue; Nose: wide; Mouth: big; Chin: big; Hair: blond; Eyebrow: blond; Scars: none.
