After 1794 Salomon Thijs boards with Gerrit Jans Snijder, Willem Jelies, Harm Luitjes en Roelof Trip, among others. His board, barber costs, tobacco socks etc. are paid by the deacons.
From a record of an extra-ordinary meeting of the court in Assen on May 2, 1797:
Since it has been conclusively proven that the detained Thijs Salomons went to Borger and Ees on January 26, 1797 and there without being provoked and without any assisatance from other people spoke disdainfullt of patriots and called them derogatory names as well as condemming them for signing the patriot declaration and having neither admitted nor denied the charge and having begged the judge for forgiveness and mercy and having spend a considerable time in detention, which is recokoned ashis punishment, he is sentenced to a further 2 days in jail on water and bread.
