Author: Scheunemann, Roger, Title: e-mail to David A. Navorska regarding Sirtje Korvemaker, (Publication location: Rochester, WA, Publisher: RA, Publication date: xxvii Jan MMXX)
"I have Eerke married to Sirtje Hindriks Korvemaker with one child; Geert Eerkes Vissering born 27 Oct 1820 in Hoorn gem. Wedde.
Their daughter Seertje Vissering born 31 May 1857 in Strobos gem. Wedde married Otto Blouw on 12 Jun 1885 in Bellingwolde.
Otto's first wife, Sibentje de Groot, is my great-great Aunt.
Sibentje was born 23 Nov 1858 in De Bult gem. Bellingwolde. Her mother Aaltjen Harkes Harkema was born 20 Sep 1838 in Finsterwolde and is my great-great grandmother.
Aaltjen and her husband Harm de Groot had 6 children. After Harm died on 23 Nov 1870 in Bellingwolde, Aaltjen had two girls with no husband shown. The first girl was Roelfien Harkema born 1 Mar 1874 in Bellingwolde. She died 16 Feb 1963 in Oak Terrace Nursing Home, Glen Lake, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Roelfien, better known as Oma, was my great grandmother. I knew her and visited her many times when I was very young. As a matter of fact in 1945 my mother, Oma and I took the train to Seattle and then ferry to Bremerton to visit relatives and see my father who was in the Navy at that time. I was three years old at that time and I actually remember some of that trip, but not seeing my Dad."
