"Thomas Riordan Sr.
Thomas P. Riordan Sr., 90, 266 S. Nelson Ave., Kankakee, died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital following a six-week illness.
He was born June 24, 1891, in Pierce, Neb., to Mr. and Mrs. David Riordan.
He was married in 1918 to the former Ether Burton who died June 2, 1956. He then married to the former Ella Gast in November 1957. She died Aug. 8, 1974.
Before his retirement Mr. Riordan had been employed 44 years by the New York Central Railroad.
He was a member of the Association of Retired Railway Employees and National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees 105.
He was a member of St. Teresa Church.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Jr. of Bradley; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, three sisters and one stepson are deceased.
Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clancy Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St Teresa Church.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials in Mr. Riordan's name may be made to the St. Teresa of the Little Flower Early Learning Program."
