"Obituary Of Mrs. Grace Folkerts
Mrs Grace Folkerts, nee Meinders, was born in Germany on November 28, 1889. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith in Germany. She came to this country as a young woman and made her home near Buffalo Center.
On October 27, 1921, she was united in holy matrimony to Ole Folkerts at the Ramsey Reformed Church. To this union four children were born. She was a communicant member of the Ramsey Reformed Church. They lived in the Titonka area on various farms. She passed away at her home in German Valley early Tuesday morning, February 12, 1963. She attained the age of 73 years, 2 month, and 15 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband in 1942, one brother, and one daughter, Aleta, in 1960. She leaves to mourn three children: Anna (Mrs William Heyer) of Buffalo Center; Menno of Thompson; and Henry of Britt; 13 gandchildren; three brothers, one sister, and three half-sisters, all in Germany. Besides these there are other relatives and friends.
She was buried from the Ramsey Reformed Church on February 14, 1963, with the Rev John E. Janssen officiating. Interment was in the Ramsey Reformed Cemetery."

Casket attendants are John R. Harms, Harm Kettwick, Donald Wubben, Carl L. Krause, Edward J. Sonnenberg and Ben Siehlmann. Interment will be in the Ramsey Reformed Cemetery. Blake Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."

"Grace Folkerts Dies, Titonka; Rites Today
Grace Folkerts, 73, well-known resident, died Tuesday at her home there.
Funeral services for Mrs Folkerts will be held today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. in the Ramsey Reformed church, with Rev. John Janssen officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery and Blake Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be John R. Harms, Ben Siehlmann, Karl Kraase, Dan Wuybben, Harm Kettwick and Edward Sonnenberg.
Born in Germany Nov. 28, 1889, Grace Meinders was the daughter of Henry and Grace Meinders. She was married Oct. 27, 1921 at Buffalo Center to Ole Folkerts and they lived at Buffalo Center until she moved to Titonka 20 years ago.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. William Hyer, Buffalo Center, Menno Folkerts, Thompson, and Henry Folkerts, Britt; 13 grandchildren and a sister and three brothers in Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter."
