Obituary
Marilou Jeanne Slagle, 80, of Boyertown, passed away on July 2, 2022 in the comfort of her home. She was the daughter of Louis Anthony Madera and Edith Dolores Savini.
Marilou was a 1960 graduate of Radnor High School where she held the highest academic achievements of her class and proudly held the title of valedictorian. Following high school, she worked as a bookkeeper. She retired from the offices of Montgomery County.
She absolutely loved nature. Gardening, flowers, and the ocean were among her favorites. Marilou had a passion for collecting rocks and crystals and making jewelry. She also enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts. She was also a onetime member of Mensa, who loved reading, learning, and enjoyed various sciences. Marilou had a love for animals, particularly cats. She leaves behind her beloved feline, Taz, who has been with her for 15 years.
Marilou is survived by her children: Steven Slagle and Sarah Snyder. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Jacob Kelly, Steven Slagle, Maria Slagle, Maximus Snyder, and Sasha Snyder. Marilou will be missed by her siblings: Rosanne (Stan), Bud (Diane), John (Sharon) and many nieces and nephews. Her lifelong friend, Mimi Ellis, also survives her.
