Jacob Ray 'Tot' Kittrell -- Cope

Jacob Ray "Tot" Kittrell, 79, of Cope, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 26, in Covenant Baptist Church, with the Rev. Scott Alewine and Ben Langdale, chaplain of Regency Hospice, officiating. Friends may call at the residence.
Born Oct. 18, 1935, in Cope, he was a son of the late Hallie Walmont Kittrell and the late Victoria Ethridge Kittrell. He retired as superintendent from J.F. Cleckley and Company, after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He was also a life-long farmer. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard. Mr. Kittrell was a dedicated husband and father, who loved his family. His kind and gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Lena Ayer Kittrell of the home; a daughter, Belinda Davenport of Fountain Inn; a son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Sherry Kittrell of Cope; a granddaughter, Victoria Lauren Carter of Greenville; a sister, Grace Kittrell McAlhaney of Branchville; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet and companion, Bob. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Kittrell Croft, and two brothers, Malcolm Kittrell and Hallie Kittrell.
