Mrs. Catherine Van Houton, wife of P.G. Van Houten, of Gainesville, died at her home Saturday morning, April 18, 1891. Mrs. Van Houton was born in the city of Patterson, N.J., on November 28, 1826 [should be 1816] and was married to Mr. Van Houton in Rockland County, N.Y., on July 4, 1851. She became the mother of two children, who survive and with her husband greatly mourn her loss. Her funeral was held from her late home.
