If Prudie is born in Aug 1899 in Mississippi, and by the time of this soundex in 1900 (probly June 1900), then Calhoun moved between Aug and June to LA.
Corine Bombard Welborn told me that Privera remarried, following the death of Francis' father, during the Civil War, in fall of 1862. His name was DAVIS, and he was from Mississippi.

Since the youngest, Prudie, was born Aug 1899 in Mississippi, and the Welborns are now living in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana in June 1900....they migrated in 1899/1900.

Note: Calhoun/Calhoon states in the 1900 Census that his father and mother were both born in Mississippi. This is interesting because I have G.M Younger Welborn as Calhoun's father and in the 1860 or 1850 Census
his POB is listed at SC. Perhaps Calhoon did not know, or this information was misgiven by other persons.

James Welborn was the son of William Welborn, born 21 Jan 1713, Harford Co, MD, married Ann CRABTREE, born 15 Jan 1714, Harford Co, MD (daughter of William Crabtree and Jane UNKNOWN) died after 1755. William died after 1722, Rowan Co, NC, buried Rowan Co., NC. William and Ann were christened in the same church they were married, St. John's parish, Balitmore Co,, MD. (county divided in 1770s and it would now be in Harford Co., but it no longer exists). William Welborn is indicated as a resident of Frederick Co., MD land records of 1750-1755. By deed of 26 Sep 1753, William Welborn of Frederick Co, MD sold his interest in land left him in the will of his father Edward WILBOURN, of 23 Jan 1730-31.

There is another book on Welborns - WILBOURN GENEALOGY by Ann Gahan, 1989. Similiar to Gene Welborn's book in some content. There is a controversy - I've met a few who insist that James WELBORN Sr. (that married Isabel Teague) parents are Samuel Welborn and Mary Chapley. Samuel parents are Thomas Welborn and Arcadia Taft. Thomas father is John Welborn. John Welborn father is John WELBORN who came over on the Sea Venture, circa 1609. Ann Gahan's book has a rebuttal on that by a Mr. Honeycutt. Gene Welborn's book reprints part of the rebuttal. Ann's book is poorly bound, mine was falling apart and I took it apart and put it in a notebook.

Corine Bombard Welborn told me that Privera remarried, following the death of Francis' father, during the Civil War, in fall of 1862. His name was DAVIS, and he was from Mississippi.

Since the youngest, Prudie, was born Aug 1899 in Mississippi, and the Welborns are now living in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana in June 1900....they must have migrated in 1899/1900.

Note: Calhoun/Calhoon states in the 1900 Census that his father and mother were both born in Mississippi. This is interesting because I have G.M Younger Welborn as Calhoun's father and in the 1860 or 1850 Census
his POB is listed at SC. Perhaps Calhoon did not know this, or this information was misgiven by other persons.

    soundex in 1900 (probly June 1900), then Calhoun moved between Aug and
    June to LA.

    Corine Bombard Welborn told me that Privera remarried, following the
    death of Francis' father, during the Civil War, in fall of 1862. His
    name was DAVIS, and he was from Mississippi.

    Since the youngest, Prudie, was born Aug 1899 in Mississippi, and the
    Welborns are now living in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana in June 1900....they
    migrated in 1899/1900.
    Note: Calhoun/Calhoon states in the 1900 Census that his father and
    mother were both born in Mississippi. This is interesting because I have
    G.M Younger Welborn as Calhoun's father and in the 1860 or 1850 Census
    his POB is listed at SC.

    De Republiek der Verenigde Nederlanden werd in 1794-1795 door de Fransen veroverd onder leiding van bevelhebber Charles Pichegru (geholpen door de Nederlander Herman Willem Daendels); de verovering werd vergemakkelijkt door het dichtvriezen van de Waterlinie; Willem V moest op 18 januari 1795 uitwijken naar Engeland (en van daaruit in 1801 naar Duitsland); de patriotten namen de macht over van de aristocratische regenten en proclameerden de Bataafsche Republiek; op 16 mei 1795 werd het Haags Verdrag gesloten, waarmee ons land een vazalstaat werd van Frankrijk; in 3.1796 kwam er een Nationale Vergadering; in 1798 pleegde Daendels een staatsgreep, die de unitarissen aan de macht bracht; er kwam een nieuwe grondwet, die een Vertegenwoordigend Lichaam (met een Eerste en Tweede Kamer) instelde en als regering een Directoire; in 1799 sloeg Daendels bij Castricum een Brits-Russische invasie af; in 1801 kwam er een nieuwe grondwet; bij de Vrede van Amiens (1802) kreeg ons land van Engeland zijn koloniën terug (behalve Ceylon); na de grondwetswijziging van 1805 kwam er een raadpensionaris als eenhoofdig gezag, namelijk Rutger Jan Schimmelpenninck (van 31 oktober 1761 tot 25 maart 1825).
