Notities over Sarah Ann BUCKMAN

The following excerpt is from page 77 "The Welcome Claimants Proved, Disproved and Doubtful" by George E. McCracken, Ph.D., F.A.S. G., F.A.A.R., Professor, Drake University and Editor, The American Genealogist, Publication of the Welcome Society of PA Number 3, 1970. Sarah Buckman, second child and oldest daughter of William Buckman by his first wife Sarah ---- was born in England, probably Billingshurst, Sussex, on 10 9th month 1677. She is registered as a Welcome passenger having arrived when she was about 5 years of age. She was not mentioned as living in her father's will in 1716, but her husband and her three children are mentioned, so that it is probable that Sarah died vita patris some years before. An an unknown date she had married Edward Beck who is named as son-in-law in William Buckman's will and in such a position that we must conclude that it was Sarah who married Edward Beck. --------Of the children named in the will of Edward Beck, only the eldest had been named in the will of their grandfather Buckman, so the other children must have been by the second wife.
