Death: Died November 10, 1775 in Ordinary, Amelia County, Province of Virginia

Brother of Ann Jennings; John Jennings; Henry Jennings; Charles Jennings; Mary Jennings and 9 others
Occupation: Retired British officer, extremely Wealthy? The following information provided by researcher Paul Puente proves that
virtually everything that has been written about William Henry
Jennings are fabrications. It appears that Col. William Henry
Jennings never existed. He was created by the Jennings families of
Amelia and Nottoway in the early to mid 1800s in order to obtain a
share of the great Jennens Inheritance.
The following is a transcript of a report to the 1863 Jennings Association:
II. 12. William Jennens, baptized 10 November, 1676; buried 1744, a
bachelor. He was a merchant of London and of North Barnet. Sole
executor to his brother Humphreyâs Will.
William never left England and therefore he couldnât be Colonel William
Henry Jennings.
It is claimed that he married Mary Jane Pulliam but no marriage record
has ever been found. In fact, there is no evidence to substantiate
any of the claims and assertions that have been made regarding William
Henry Jennings. The grave marker was not the original and was created after the fact with all the false information on it.
Regarding Helen G. Ingeâs photograph which she identified as the home
of Col. William Jennings, the Nottoway Historical Society has stated
that the house was built in 1790 by Joseph Jennings, not Col. William
Henry Jennings.
Research is currently underway to determine who is the rightful father of the below-linked children formerly believed to be the offspring of the fictitious Col. William Henry Jennings.
