Note: N3364 https://www.lmhs.org/memberdb/PMH/PMH/1994-01.pdf Michael Schenk Jr. Michael was born in 1639 at Hinten, Eggiwil. He married at Eggiwil, 21 Sep 1660, Anna Stauffer, probably the daughter of Hans Stauffer and Madlena Neuenschwander13. She was born in 1643 also at Eggiwil. Her grandfather was the Anabaptist preacher Christian Stauffer who was imprisoned at Thun in 1644 and who was exiled in October 1671 from Switzerland14. Michael with his wife and four children were exiled from Eggiwil with the other Anabaptist refugees in October, 1671 and went first to Germany. By January 1, 1672, he was living as a Mennonite refugee at Ibersheim with his family and his father. At that time he was called Michael Schenk Sr's "obedient son". Michael was listed later as a Mennonite Refugee, age 32, living at Adelshofen near Sinsheim, Germany in April 1672 with his wife Anna "Stoffel", age 28 and four children. They were given one mattress by the Mennonite of Holland. In 1687 he was still living at Adelshofen on a list made of the inhabitants for the Kraichgau area. Jacob Beer was also listed at Adelshofen in 1687. Michael's wife Anna left local money to her brother Hans Stauffer in 1707, which may indicate that she died that year. Michael and Anna had at least four children and possibly more. The first four children were all born at Hinten, Eggiwil and were carried to the Pfalz in October 167115; 1.
