Susan Wood nee Deadman wrote via GenesReunited: Jane Charlotte Bryant is the oldest daughter of Jane Ison/Lloyd and her relationship with William Bryant. She has a younger sister Martha. Jane Ison was a convict, who came to Australia onboard the Surprize, 1794. She had been married to Edward Jagger’s in England, but he passed away, so she moved to London, where she lived in a house of woman. It was in this house that some of the women were spending time with a gentleman, while other women robbed him. All the women in the house whether apart of the crime or not, were tried and sentenced and transported to Australia. Jane did not want her real name of Lloyd unsed, so she used a name of Ison to protect her family name. Jane was the oldest of 3 children to James Lloyd and Eleanor Brown. Her siblings James and Samuel. When Jane came to Australia, she formed a relationship with William Bryant (convict - arrived 1792 onboard the Pitt) and they had 2 children - Jane Charlotte and Martha. William Bryant then disappeared, and no trace documentation has been found. Jane Ison/Lloyd, then married William Eaton (convict arrived onboard Port Jackson 1791) and they had 9 children. Ann Cross is the 11th child of Martha Bryant and Thomas Cross. She married Richard Ezzy. Ann born 1837 and died 1905.
